If you want to make changes to your Planning Permit, you must apply with us to amend it.
Secondary Consent eligibility
To apply for Secondary Consent, you need to meet these criteria:
- The permit is not for subdivision
- Have the following or similar condition on the permit:
- "The use and/or development as shown on the endorsed plan(s) must not be altered without the written consent of the responsible authority"
- The changes must not transform the permit to a use or development that was not previously considered and approved
- The changes cannot be contrary to any condition in the original permit
- The changes cannot be those that would trigger an additional planning permit under the Brimbank Planning Scheme
- The changes must not cause material detriment to the surrounding area as there is no advertising associated with a Secondary Consent
- The description of what is allowed by the permit cannot be altered by Secondary Consent
- The permit conditions cannot be varied or deleted by Secondary Consent.
How to amend a permit if you don’t meet the criteria
If you don’t meet these criteria, you need to:

- copy of Title and Plan of Subdivision, produced within the last 3 months
- copy of Covenants or Section 173 Agreements registered on Title, if any
- dimensioned plans that show:
- existing conditions based on the endorsed plans
- site, floor and elevation plans highlighting the proposed changes
- feature survey plan, if applicable
- materials and colour schedule, if applicable.

We will send you an invoice for payment based on the fee structure which includes GST.
