The next council election will be held on 26 October 2024.
Council elections in Victoria are held every four years.
Voting at the election is compulsory for residents of Brimbank who are enrolled on the Victorian electoral roll. Business and property owners may also be eligible to enrol in the Council electoral roll.
The election will be by postal ballot and will be conducted on behalf of the Council by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC).

The VEC’s Democracy Ambassadors are delivering free information sessions from Friday 14 June to Friday 25 October 2024 for young people and community members:
- Living with disability
- From multicultural backgrounds
- With Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
- Experiencing homelessness
Voter education sessions can be delivered in some community languages and the VEC can provide interpreters.
