Role of Committee/Council

Committee established in accordance with section 53 of the Local Government Act 2020 to provide oversight of financial and performance reporting, risk management, fraud prevention systems and control, maintenance of a sound internal control environment, assurance activities including internal and external audit. To establish and maintain a formal communication channel between Brimbank City Council and a representative group of young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work, study or socialise in the Brimbank municipality.

The BEEAG is an advisory committee to Brimbank City Council (Council) which operates as a round table style business forum to facilitate discussion on a broad range of local economic, investment and workforce development matters to build the City of Brimbank's (Brimbank) economic capacity and prosperity.

Committee is to provide a direct engagement channel for Council to receive feedback from members during the implementation of the Sydenham Park Master Plan.
